Blackberry picking was something my mother talked about doing as a small child. In September children spent a whole week picking these dark fruits, rambling through the brambly hills of Northern England. –Trudi Jaeger
–Trudi Jaeger
Jackson Pollock and Cy Twombly can be mentioned, two artists who inspired her through their combination of painting and drawing. Richard Serra refers to Twombly’s art as ‘Drawing paintings and Painting drawings’, a statement that Jaeger feels an affinity to. –Dag Sveen

Isola – Island
Fr. Isolé – It. Isolato: late L. Insulatus made into an island- placed or standing apart or alone; detached or separate from other things or persons; unconnected with anything else; solitary.
Spatial drawing: I work in a field of tension between drawing and painting. Rhythm and movement, and the precise and the diffuse, are basic elements in my calligraphic language. The choice of colour is crucial to the light and the dynamism of the drawing.

Vanntopografi
The light and the poetic structure of landscapes are components that I deconstruct and reorganize, while at the same time I want to capture the immediate sensuality of a situation. During this period, I had several stays in areas close to Fjelberg and Etne in the Sunnhordland Basin– an archipelago of light, south of Bergen.
